Voting Question: How is Israel defending themselves when they illegally on occupied land?

According to the United Nations Security Council Resolution 242, Israel has been illegally occupying lands for over 40 years. The last UN General Assembly resolution passed 161-to-7, the seven dissenting states being the United States, Israel, Nauru, Palau, Micronesia, Marshall Islands and Australia. 161 countries said a full Israeli withdrawal to the June ’67 borders and a just resolution of the refugee question. http://www.democracynow.org/2008/5/16/as_israelis_celebrate_independence_and_palestinians I don't give the UN much weight, but the fact they are responsible for the creation of Israel, and since has been outspoken against them speaks volumes.
